Author, composer, performer. Long associated with his prestigious elders (Bashung, Dominique A, Daniel Darc...), Joseph has always diverted the subject, refused the obvious by exiling himself (to Rio and L.A. for Les jours sauvages (2008)), multiplying unexpected collaborations for a French singer (Mario Caldato Jr and Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Darrell Thorp (Radiohead, Beck...), Troy Von Balthazar, Day One...) or changing direction with each album. After 3 records, a novel, and many songs for others (notably Tant De Nuits for Alain Bashung on Bleu Pétrole), 2015 marks his grand return with Les Matins Blancs which confronts, in a frontal way, these illustrious predecessors and plays with the codes of a certain French rock song, of a classy pop made in France. Includes "Tremble" written by Dominique A, "Marie" by Lescop, and "La nuit, je t'aime quand même" by Miossec.
