On now knows Joseph Arthur well, a talented multi-instrumentalist we have already seen solo or as a member of Fistful Of Mercy with Dhani Harrison and Ben Harper or of RNDM with Jeff Ament from Pearl Jam. It is with a solo album around the theme of family that Joseph Arthur returns in 2016. Vocals, drums, drum machine, piano, synth, guitars... everything is played by Joseph in this album with the feel of a beautiful lesson in life, in which he reflects on how family shapes us and makes us who we are. The Family is mixed by Tchad Blake, who had already collaborated with Joseph on two songs: In the Sun and Honey and the Moon. The album was composed on a 1912 Steinway Vertgrande piano that the multi-instrumentalist recently acquired. This instrument, rich in history, has clearly been a source of inspiration.
