Jori Hulkkonen was born and raised in a small town of 20,000 inhabitants, Kemi, in northern Finland. Since the early 80s, his musical influences have leaned towards electronic music, in a style quite eclectic for a 10-year-old growing up during a period still marked by the Cold War. By the late 80s, Jori's passion for electronic music was strengthened when he discovered its most abstract and minimal side: Detroit techno and Chicago house music. An excellent DJ, he has played in the best clubs and festivals across Europe. Jori Hulkkonen is a well-known and highly respected artist in the Nordic countries for his pioneering status, his love of music, and his commitment to promoting it.
