Between paradise, hell, and the murky waters of the Thames, here is what the universe of JON HOPKINS is made of. British musician of melodic electronica born in 1979 in London, JON HOPKINS started playing the piano at the age of five and, at twelve, he was admitted to the prestigious Royal College of Music in London. He has worked, among others, with Coldplay, Imogen Heap, King Creosote, David Holmes, Tunng, and Brian Eno. He also composed the music for the show Entity by choreographer Wayne McGregor, which premiered at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London in April 2008. Since 2001, Jon Hopkins has released four albums and three EPs, including the famous "Immunity" (on the Domino label), which was an international success upon its release in 2013 and nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. Here he is at the helm of the famous mixed compilation series "Late Night Tales." He compiles his favorite tracks, off the beaten club paths, and even incorporates transitions and effects played by himself to facilitate the transitions. Includes tracks from Four Tet, Holy Other, School of Seven Bells, Nils Frahm, Peter Broderick, Darkstar, Bibio, and others. There is also a cover of Yeasayer played by Jon Hopkins on piano.
