Johnny Mafia, the incandescent French rock band, is back with an explosive new album: « 2024 : Année du Dragon ».Founded by four high school students in Sens, Johnny Mafia quickly built an unshakeable reputation as a stage beast. With over 450 concerts under their belt, they have won over audiences across France and beyond. After three landmark albums, Johnny Mafia has become the spearhead of a constantly evolving French music scene. Their second opus, « Princes de l'amour », recorded by Jim Diamond, was widely praised by the specialized press. But it was with « Sentimental », their third album, recorded at Warmaudio studio under the guidance of the talented producer Kris Banel, that the group reaffirmed its uniqueness. « 2024 : Année du Dragon », the fourth opus from Johnny Mafia, was recorded and produced by Francis Caste (Bukowski, Flying Pooh, Kickback, Aqme, Hangman's Chair). They chose him after listening to the latest album by Pogo Car Cash Control, which he had produced. "We wanted a cleaner, clearer, more powerful sound that was still more 'Pop' like in metal," says Johnny Mafia. "At that time we were looking for a studio that would allow us to go in that direction, and we contacted and met Francis Caste thanks to Pogo Car Crash Control; we hit it off right away. He brought us a lot through his recording method and also musically, being a musician himself—drummer, guitarist, and singer." Thus, they managed to find the sound that would best suit this album.
