The infusion of electronic music into the score eventually expanded to include 11 remixes on the album, and it is an amalgam of inspirations that brought this idea to life. The two composers worked extensively with electronic music, including their work on the famous, techno-infused Run Lola Run soundtrack. Additionally, Lana Wachowski lives in Berlin and is connected to many DJs, remixers, producers, and figures deeply involved and associated with the underground electronic music scene—some of them for over 30 years—and the famous Berlin nightclub Berghain. These connections and inspirations naturally evolved from a remix idea into the broader inclusion of remixes on the album.
