The Road From Townhead Mill - Front Cover
John Peel’s Tractor

The Road From Townhead Mill

Description

Here is a magnificent double gatefold LP (on 180-gram vinyl) to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band TRACTOR! Featuring classic tracks and unreleased material. 40 years ago, John Peel gave this Rochdale band all the recording equipment. Close to Joy Division, New Order and the Happy Mondays, they were part of what became in 1972 the cradle of British counterculture (independent newspapers, early graffiti artists, open-air festival...) and have now been part of the history of English rock for 40 years.
