Description
“Dance Ancestral” is the latest addition to the prolific artist John Carroll Kirby's distinctive and growing body of work. Kirby made his Stones Throw debut in 2020 with “My Garden”, an album influenced by jazz, New Age, and ancient music, which he synthesized into his unique and instantly recognizable signature sound. Since then, he has released the instrumental album for Piano Conflict, the soundtrack to the feature film “Cryptozoo”, and the jazz fusion sequel Septet. For “Dance Ancestral”, Kirby invited Canadian producer Yu Su to join him in producing a more electronic-sounding record.Disque 1
