The master of horror soundtracks, musician and director John Carpenter has just announced the release of a new album, Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998. Described as "an almost complete study of John Carpenter's greatest themes," it will feature 13 unreleased versions of the most famous themes he composed for film, including those from his first movie Dark Star and Halloween, as well as The Thing (the latter composed by the talented Ennio Morricone).
