Dark Horse Records celebrates the 20th anniversary of JOE STRUMMER’s album Streetcore from The Clash. The audio has been remastered by Paul Hicks (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison) and the cover has been reproduced from the original version. The vinyl comes with an exclusive copy of the handwritten lyrics to “Coma Girl” written by Strummer. The third studio album by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, featuring the single “Coma Girl,” was released posthumously after Joe’s death in 2002. Due to Strummer’s death, many tracks feature first and only vocal takes. The fan-favorite cover of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” and the track “Long Shadow” were produced by Rick Rubin. A more stripped-down rock album, recalling Strummer’s early work with The Clash, the album received a positive critical reception and is considered a return to form and a highlight of the end of Strummer’s solo career.
