Singer-songwriter Jobi Riccio (she/they), originally from Nashville, presents her debut album, Whiplash. This coming-of-age story explores themes of self-love, confronting past trauma, overcoming insecurities, particularly those related to her queer identity, and the inner strength drawn upon to flourish and inspire others. This Americana/country album was mastered by Philip Shaw Bova, a Grammy Award-winning sound engineer, and offers a subtle balance between upbeat, dynamic tracks and introspective, deeply moving ballads, elevated by the poetry of the lyrics and Jobi's incredible vocal mastery.
