Real Life Evolution

Description

Joan As Police Woman will release her new album, Real Life Evolution, on June 12, 2026 via Reveal Records. This record reimagines her debut album, Real Life (2006), through ten new versions of its songs, the result of twenty years of concerts and constant reinvention. These arrangements, shaped on stage and refined over years of collaboration, now reach their full dimension thanks to the participation of many musicians who have helped define her style. Some interpretations are subtle improvements, others radically transform the original versions. On this album, Joan is accompanied by Will Graefe, Jeremy Gustin, Tony Scherr, Parker Kindred, Danny Blume, Krystle Warren, Oren Bloedow, Thomas Bartlett and Iggy Pop. Joan Wasser, known as Joan As Police Woman, is a New York-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, recognized for her unique style blending soul, indie rock and experimental pop. Over a career spanning more than ten years, she has released ten studio albums, two cover albums and an anthology, and is widely recognized for her collaborations. In addition to her solo career, she performs with Iggy Pop's band on tour and participates in Damon Albarn's Africa Express project. She has also collaborated with artists such as Tony Allen, Lou Reed, Anohni & The Johnsons, Meshell Ndegeocello, Rufus Wainwright, John Cale and David Byrne.
