"Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision" chronicles the creation of this legendary venue, the first of its kind owned by an artist, born from the ruins of a Manhattan nightclub. The film helps us understand that while Jimi Hendrix's death deprived the public of his future works, the continued success of his recording studio stands as a lasting legacy beyond his own music. John Lennon, The Clash, and even Beyonce have recorded albums at Electric Lady Studios.
This documentary also includes never-before-seen footage and photos, as well as 38 unreleased tracks recorded in this mythical studio. The project also includes 20 new 5.1 surround sound mixes of the entire album "First Rays Of The New Rising Sun", as well as three bonus tracks ["Valleys Of Neptune", "Pali Gap", and "Lover Man"].
Available September 13th in 3 CD or 5 LP formats, both supplemented by a Blu-ray version of the documentary.
