Jérémy Bruger is a 39-year-old French pianist. He has released three trio albums, 'Jubilation' in 2013, 'Reflections' in 2016 and 'Moods' in 2020, on which he presented a repertoire of compositions, arrangements of standards as well as covers drawn from his personal influences. Mind Watcher was born at the beginning of 2021 during the second lockdown, through informal sessions at double bassist Gabriel Pierre's place. This particular period was nevertheless conducive to encounters, and in the depths of that winter marked by the pandemic, the writing phase initiated by pianist Jérémy Bruger began in this guitar-piano-double bass-drums quartet format to lead to the repertoire of this first record. Through the vibrations and sensations that music provides, an introspection gives rise to a look at the world and at oneself, especially with the context of recent years and its share of questioning, doubts, fears and above all hopes. A time of observation to redefine one's place among the elements. The path taken is the one we choose, according to events, encounters, moods. Improvisation in music and particularly in jazz makes it possible to undertake a journey in the moment, to draw a unique story and share it with the audience.
