During the year 2025, International Anthem will celebrate its 11th year by revisiting some of its most celebrated (and hard-to-find) releases from its decade. These editions will be presented with new liner notes, new booklets, and a new version of the label's iconic obi bands.Jeff Parker's album, The New Breed, released in 2016, marked a turning point for Parker and for International Anthem, changing the trajectory of his solo career and drawing particular attention to our new label despite our then very limited catalog. But above all, the album is the first to give voice to Parker's completely unique vision of building rhythms based on samples, augmented by a crack team of LA improvisation experts - Paul Bryan (bass), Josh Johnson (alto saxophone) and Jamire Williams (drums), augmented by Jay Bellerose (drums) and Ruby Parker (vocals).
