Jeff Mills presents his new album "The Trip," the world's first cosmic opera. What happens during the cosmic journey to the black hole? What is on the other side of the black hole? Jeff Mills explores these questions through a performance and the release of an album that appeals to the senses.
Black holes are physically contradictory entities that are difficult to imagine, but what Jeff Mills attempts to address in "The Trip" also intersects with singularity, which is the possible beginning or end of time and space. Five theoretical scenarios illustrate what could happen after entering the black hole and coming out on the other side. To accompany him in this endeavor, he has enlisted the avant-garde Japanese singer Jun Togawa, featured on two tracks.
