The new album Bach Piano Transcriptions is the latest recording by Japanese pianist Kotaro Fukuma. For many years, he has often played transcribed pieces for piano as part of his recital programs. Fukuma particularly enjoys playing J.S. Bach's transcriptions, such as those included in this album. During the lockdown in 2020, he asked on social media what kind of piano music people wanted to hear, and many responded with a desire for J.S. Bach's music. He states, "Strangely, I also felt at that moment that I wanted to play J.S. Bach's music... I would like to thank everyone who participated in this recording. If this music can bring listeners some comfort and a spirit of love, it would be a great joy for me."
