10 years already, since 'La pointe Rouge', that I hadn't picked up the pen again. Writing for oneself, an exercise that I perhaps missed, that I surely missed. "Writing" because there are moments, instances where it seems obvious to want to wander in new settings to meet new words, different notes.
Writing a new album, I had wanted to for a long time, but I didn't yet dare to put on paper the funny ideas that were running through my head. But time that passes so quickly is often liberating.
And then the meeting with a composer, Didier Pascalis, a new complicity that holds surprises and rare moments, a quiet complicity that restores confidence.
