Conversations of Hope is the third album from Jasper Høiby's 3Elements piano trio, with Naima Acuña on drums and Xavi Torres on piano. At the heart of the project is Jasper Høiby, a composer and bandleader whose international renown was forged through Phronesis, an influential group formed in 2005 that redefined the expectations of the modern piano trio. This mastery of structure, risk, and collective energy is at the core of this project. The music, fast-paced and impactful, is shaped by clear melodic ideas, rhythmic shifts, and a keen sense of space. Acuña’s precise and dynamic playing and Torres’ harmonically rich piano language perfectly complement Høiby’s bass-driven writing, creating urgent, physical music that is reactive to every change in direction.
