Much Afraid

Much Afraid is the second studio album by the American Christian rock band Jars of Clay, released in 1997. Following the success of the band's debut album, Much Afraid earned the group a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. It debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum. The album features multi-instrumentalist Greg Wells, who later produced OneRepublic, Katy Perry, Pink, and Rufus Wainwright, playing drums and bass on nearly all the songs; he also co-wrote "Tea And Sympathy" and the single "Crazy Times." The tracks "Fade to Grey" and "Frail" both come from the band's 1994 demo recording, Frail. All other songs from this demo appeared on the first Jars Of Clay album in 1995.
