From "lacy" folk to poetic pop, via garage and punk, the unclassifiable Jaromil Sabor embraces a new, more nineties, label with his 4th album, Second Science. Behind this pseudonym is Bordeaux-based Loïk Maille, a versatile singer-songwriter whose story began in the late 2000s, first with the velvety Artyfacts and then with Arthur Pym And The Gordons. In 2012, he decided to go solo. The result of a dense pop experience, Jaromil Sabor's music reflects the artist himself: multifaceted and generous, even schizophrenic. Second Science is a perfect synthesis of the three previous albums, breaking new ground between twee pop and nineties, the indie rock of Beat Happening or The Vaselines. Initially a solo performer, then a trio and finally a quintet, Jaromil is now surrounded by Suzy Cacheux on guitar, Boris Cuisinier on bass, Samuel Roux on keyboards, and François Tastet on drums.
