The title "Secret Spells" opens a door. Is Jared in a debonair version of the Death Stance described in Peter Carroll's *Liber Null*, a contemporary occultist who danced on the edge of the Thanaterotic pentacle, extending the tradition of revealing secrets that TOPY would actively democratize, honoring Aleister Crowley's Beast 666? The latter was also fond of revelations that raised new questions, asserting, for example, that his Psalm 69 is "The way to succeed is the way to suck eggs." He also claimed to reveal THE secret of the Illuminati there, among other trifles. Peter Carroll warns us, like an unconscious mother, "Here, have a very sharp knife, be careful when you run with the blade in your mouth!" But perhaps Jared is just taking a nap under a beautiful autumn sun.
