Young Jakob Manz boasts an all-star cast for his new album! "Groove Connection" offers a glimpse into what are probably Jakob Manz's greatest strengths: his ability to excite and delight an audience with soulful melodies, incisive solos, and an unerring sense of rhythm. This very rare combination of qualities was the starting point to which the producers added a high-caliber international lineup to make the sparks fly: Roberto Di Gioia, who is both keyboardist and songwriter, immediately made his mark. The first choice to support the band on bass was American Tim Lefebvre. Drums, and particularly the Swede Per Lindvall, provide an elegant groove. Bruno Müller, one of Germany's most sought-after studio guitarists, adds a tasty touch of funk. Swedish trombonist Karin Hammar creates a softer counterpart to Manz's brilliant alto saxophone. Guitarist Nguyên Lê, trumpeter Paolo Fresu, and speaker Mark Harrington are also featured guests.
