The highly anticipated return of multi-instrumentalist Jacco Gardner, with an introspective, 100% instrumental album. Jacco Gardner returns with a new, much-anticipated album, *Volva*, influenced by his new adopted country, Portugal: “I think moving to Lisbon played a big part in shaping this album, as the city completely lent itself to it, mystically speaking (…) especially in the older parts of the city, but also thanks to the hills where the city was built. Wandering through the city feels like wandering in nature.” A completely instrumental album, like his previous album *Hypnophobia*, released in 2015, whose influences and references range from Bo Hansson, Vangelis, Brian Eno to Mike Oldfield: “I deliberately removed my voice for this experience (…) I believe it makes the journey more interesting, deeper, more intimate (…). The album is more than a journey, it is a contact with a profound and hidden reality.”
