In 2025, International Anthem will celebrate its 11th year by revisiting some of the most celebrated (and hard-to-find) releases from its decade-long catalog. These editions will feature new liner notes, new booklets, and a new take on the label's iconic obi strips. Irreversible Entanglements’ self-titled debut album was originally released in September of 2017 and features the first music ever played together by the freshly assembled supergroup of Camae Ayewa (Moor Mother), Luke Stewart, Keir Neuringer, Aquiles Navarro, and Tcheser Holmes. This explosive collection of improvised free-jazz with spoken word accompaniment came together after the group first met at a “Musicians Against Police Brutality” event in the wake of the state-sponsored murder of Akai Gurley.
