Description

Bastard child of Joy Division and Nirvana, Intrusive Thoughts is an avalanche of buried feelings. Evolving in the rock machine that is Rouen, the band delivers a unique and melodic garage punk inspired by noise aesthetics. Anger and energy, mixed with the sweetness and bitterness of melancholy, create the feverish and pleasant sensation of letting go. With a bass-drums duo influenced by 90s alternative rock, as well as the current garage/noise scene, lyrics inspired by 19th-century English gothic literature, and a jazz-rock guitar, they quickly began working for the Tremplin Phénix Normandie 2022, from which they emerged as winners. Their first album, Dysphorie, is released on the label Before Collapse Records.
