WRWTFWW Records is pleased to continue its collaboration with the Japanese electronic/ambient group Interior by releasing the unreleased soundtrack of the album Laserdisc Sculpture of Time (Apocalypse) by environmental artist NILS-UDO, which was released in 1987. This intriguing album of sound design/kankyo ongaku/new age is available in a limited edition with a thick 350 g/m² cover and comes with an obi strip. In 1987, Intermission released an exclusive Laserdisc in Japan featuring an hour of works created by the renowned German environmental artist NILS-UDO. To accompany the visuals, they commissioned the electronic music group Interior, who had just released their self-titled debut album produced by Haroumi Hosono (also available on WRWTFWW Records) and their second album Design released by Windham Hill Records. For the first time, the soundtrack is now available in Full HD, showcasing the precise, subtle, and enchanting approach of Daisuke Hinata, Eiki Nonaka, Mitsuru Sawamura, and Tsukasa Betto to ambient sound design. Soothing nature sounds, ritualistic synths, meditative atmospheres, and eruptive incursions into darker territories beautifully merge in a 4-part soundscape that flirts with works such as Through The Looking Glass by Midori Takada and Green by Hiroshi Yoshimura, making Sculpture of Time one of the best-kept secrets of kankyo ongaku - a must-have for mystery seekers and levitating music enthusiasts.
