UNIVERSE OF DREAMS / HIDDEN TRACKS

Description

Inga Rumpf: the myth, the voice. The list of internationally renowned musicians, partners, colleagues (or admirers) of Inga Rumpf is long and includes incredible names such as B. B. King, Udo Lindenberg, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner or Keith Richards. If there is indeed a living legend in the music industry in Germany, it is Inga Rumpf! In 2021, the Grande Dame gave her fans a gift with the release of "Universe of Dreams" on the occasion of her 75th birthday. And she does not stop there, since with this new studio album comes "Hiddent Tracks", an album made up of lovely tracks never released before, recorded with her musician friends between 1988 and 2014, which the artist had carefully kept in her archives. In the 1990s, Inga played with various musicians from Hamburg. With Nils Gessinger and his band at the time, spontaneous recordings were made in Inga's studio in Hamburg, from which you can find four wonderful ballads. Inga also tried many styles in her own studio with computer technology, which was still new at the time. Two other tracks, which are stylistically completely different, come from this phase. The recent past represents the collaboration with former BAP guitarist Helmut Krumminga, with whom Inga founded a duo and played many concerts - just for the fun of it. There are also three recordings from this period.
