Live In Jura
Description
We Release JAZZ is delighted to announce the release of the limited vinyl edition of Ill Considered's transcendent new live album, Live in Jura, an exceptional testament to the trio's concert at the Spiegelberg Festival in 2023. Available as a double LP with a bonus D-side, it comes in a thick sleeve with an obi and original artwork by Vincent de Boer. Recorded in the heights of Saignelégier, Switzerland, in the heart of a pasture overlooking the Jura, Live in Jura captures the very essence of the Ill Considered live experience: a spontaneous, authentic, and essential performance. Idris Rahman (saxophone, flute), Liran Donin (bass), and Emre Ramazanoglu (drums) deliver a deep, free improvisation, imbued with intuition and passion—a constantly evolving dialogue between groove, texture, and energy. The bonus D-side extends the album's universe with a new ambient composition, created from recordings of organic sounds from the forest surrounding the concert venue. Recomposed into a luminous, vaporous piece, it features The Voices of the Alpenglow, blurring the line between performance and landscape, human gesture and elemental presence. Ill Considered, known for forging improvised music around simple themes or spontaneously created structures, here reaches a new level of sensitivity and power. Live in Jura follows the release on We Release JAZZ of Shoals, an album by the group Earth and Bones, members of Ill Considered, continuing in the tradition of exploratory and introspective music, rooted in deep listening and spontaneous creation.Buy Live In Jura at the best price
