BEYONDLESS

Description

Originally, the Danish group Iceage, composed of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt (vocals, guitar), Dan Kjær Nielsen (drums), Johan Suurballe Wieth (guitar), and Jakob Tvilling Pless (bass), played hybrid punk rock. In 2014, the band released their excellent third album *Plowing Into The Field Of Love*, veering from punk towards a Tom Waits-esque darkness. After a brief solo excursion with the excellent Marching Church, and four years after their last album, Elias Bender Rønnenfelt is back with Iceage, who will release *Beyondless* on the Matador label on May 5th. For their first analog album, the band once again worked with producer Nis Bysted, Mattias Glavå, and was mixed by Randall Dunn. Notably, Sky Ferreira is featured on the single "Painkiller."
