Illusions

Description

The desire to address the theme of illusion appeared to me from my first disillusionment. As a child, I dreamed of a world where human beings could talk to each other without shouting, engage in dialogue without hurting one another, and build together without seeking to destroy what they felt did not suit them in others. I quickly understood that the world did not turn in the same direction for everyone. As I grew up, I realized that we were capable of discussing the same topics, agreeing with one another in many areas, while still having different perceptions of things. And sometimes, conversely, there could be deep disagreements even when the core ideas were shared. Magicians, for example, are extremely skilled at making us visualize this antagonism by disregarding the trickery because we enjoy the spectacle.
