Description

Universal Music France is proud to reissue the catalog of Ibrahim Maalouf. This special operation will take place in two phases. The first wave includes the following albums: Illusions, Wind, Au pays d'Alice, Dans les fôrets de Sibérie (BOF) and La Vache (BOF).
The album Wind, which is a tribute to Miles Davis, allowed the trumpeter to win the title of 'Artist of the Year' at the Victoires du Jazz in 2012.
The album Illusions won the Victoire for 'World Music Album' in 2014 at the Victoires de la Musique. That same year, Ibrahim Maalouf collaborated with Oxmo Puccino for the concept album Au Pays d'Alice, which is an ambitious reinterpretation of Lewis Carroll's novel.
In 2016, Ibrahim Maalouf received the César for Best Film Music, with the soundtrack of the feature film Dans les fôrets de Sibérie, directed by Saffy Nebou.
The soundtrack of La Vache was inspired by the notions of 'travel' and 'road', dear to the Franco-Lebanese artist. For this project, Ibrahim Maalouf surrounded himself with a Balkan-Turkish brass band, to take us on a journey between the West and the East.
