After the ambitious "A Distant (Dark) Source" (2018) and the subsequent artistic triumph of their live recording in 2021, the French progressive metal band Hypno5e returns with their sixth studio album. Once again, these four visionary musicians and cinematographers take us back to "the lost shores of the Paleolithic lake Tauca," where we dive deeper into its dark source to find vibrant visions of a memory that is both distant and hazy, yet warm and evocative. "Sheol" showcases Hypno5e at the height of their art, revealing the epitome of their idiosyncratic sound while exploring new and exciting aspects of their artistic identity.
