HudMo unveils his soundtrack for late-night parties, featuring a stunning mix of hip-hop, hardstyle fanfare, hyperpop euphoria, and caricatured gospel sample flips. 'Cry Sugar' is Hudson Mohawke's first original album since 'Lantern', released in 2015. In the meantime, he has produced records for Pusha T, Drake, A$AP Rocky, and Anohni, and recorded the soundtrack for the video game 'DedSec - Watch Dogs 2' in 2016, all experiences that have fueled this new successful long format. With its fireworks of synthesizers, orchestral strings, and trap-hop EDM, it reads like a love letter to the American culture that inspired HudMo and of which he has become a key element over the last decade, since his remarkable production on Ye's 'Yeezus' in 2012.
