Hubert Lenoir, 23, is a young singer-songwriter. He grew up in Beauport, in the suburbs of Quebec City. At 17, he formed the band The Seasons with his brother. In 2014, they released their first album titled Pulp, which led to critical acclaim and an enthusiastic reception from the public. This was followed by a tour that lasted more than two years and took them all over the world, from Berlin to Los Angeles. Despite the band’s success, Hubert continued to sing in the streets, where he delivered explosive and eccentric performances. Upon returning from a long tour, he went through a year of turmoil, insomnia, fast food, and blockbusters, during which Darlène was written and recorded, a concept album accompanied by a novel of the same name, written by Noémie D. Leclerc, his best friend and soulmate. The album was entirely made in Quebec City, his hometown. On it, Hubert Lenoir blends influences from R&B, glam rock, prog, psychedelic rock, and jazz, making Darlène a pop work that is eclectic, unpredictable, and bold. Darlène is a post-modern opera about the coming of age of a generation. An unrestrained album, blending several musical genres while remaining highly cohesive. A wild artist with a strong artistic vision. A stage beast who leaves no one indifferent. French media outlets have been covering him since the beginning.
