Cœur Parapluie

Description

A third album that is decidedly pop rock! Includes “Mauvais rêve” and “Je partirai” At just 26, Hoshi is already recognized as a major artistic figure of her generation, an activist and hypersensitive, and she never stops surprising and breaking the rules. After 2 certified albums, one platinum and the other double platinum, 2 nominations at the Victoires de la Musique and more than 200 concert dates across France, she returns with “Coeur parapluie”, an album that will mark a turning point and bring a fresh and welcome air to pop-rock made in France. It is from the ambivalence between wonder and suffering, the end of innocence and intangible dreams, the age of possibilities and the age of reason, that Hoshi draws her words and notes - mirrors held up to herself. And all this gives a new album that is both a perfect reflection of its performer/songwriter and of a large part of her audience, who will find their hopes, their aspirations, and also their doubts. From the street to the TV stage, Hoshi has managed, since her first single in 2017, to carve out a path in the relentless business of professional music. Today, it is with a totally uninhibited and avant-garde new album that Hoshi reasserts her status as a singular and emerging artist. Through her lyrics, she embraces who she is, her marginality, her extraordinary personality, her anxieties and, above all, because it is the most unspoken: her paradoxes. Is there enough here to appeal to an audience, you may ask? Yes, of course, and much more, because Hoshi turns her otherness (“Why does no one understand me?”), her incurable wounds and the intoxication brought on by her youth into an indescribable force that flows through each of her tracks. And when illness gnaws at her eardrums, she gives it back by soaring into heartbreaking high notes. When the nightmare-like little tunes, the “bad dreams”, haunt her nights, she draws from them mesmerizing lyrics that carve a path through our minds, like a shooting star inviting us to transform our fears, our nightmares, into dreams of better tomorrows.
