Description

The second release from the legendary Celluloid label since its revival after 35 years of silence, Honk Gong is a brand new trip-hop / no wave duo built around the wild and dreamlike samples of Paul Ramon (Pleasure Principle, Bryan's Magic Tears) and the contagiously relaxed flow of San Francisco-based producer/MC Robin Jiro Margerin (Salopecia, There's Ifs, Marginal Tow). Conceived as a chemical castaway's diary, “Dissociate” oscillates between the intelligence of an A Tribe Called Quest track and the aesthetic of a YouTube collage. Recorded by Paul Rannaud (Fat White Family, Insecure Men) and mixed by Maxime Maurel (Departure Kids, Ventre de Biche), this first track kicks off a series of concerts and showcases before the release of a debut album, Eau de Low, announced for spring 2026. “Dissociate” is released in partnership with Agnès b.
