Description

HÖG's debut album, BLACKHOLE, draws inspiration from the heavy rock of the 70s, sharpened by punk urgency and the bite of metal, and infused with the "dirty gloom" of life in Portland. The early songs were decidedly playful; the new tracks tackle darker realities - turmoil, depression, sex - without losing their power. Adam's pounding rhythm and Bobcat's deep, rolling bass anchor Daniel's screaming guitar and dynamic vocals. Recorded live on 2-inch tape in the summer of 2024 at Arcane Amps, mixed by Matt Williams (HELL) and mastered by Amy Dragon, BLACKHOLE is dark, gritty, and designed to be played at full volume.
