HIEROGLYPHIC BEING's third stunning album on Soul Jazz RecordsHere is the new album from Chicago's futuristic electro prodigy HIEROGLYPHIC BEING, aka Jamal Moss.It's his third album for Soul Jazz Records, following The Acid Documents (2015) and African With Mainframes (2016).Born and living in Chicago, his music combines two of the city's foundational cultures: the original Acid House of 1986 with representatives like Frankie Knuckles, Phuture, Marshall Jefferson, and the rigorous experimental and cosmic sound that follows artists like Sun Ra, whose Arkestra was based in the city from 1946 to 1961. Mentored by artists and producers Adonis and Steve Poindexter, Moss also runs his label Mathematics, releasing a multitude of music from pioneers of the genre such as Lil' Louis, Adonis, and many others.
