HIDE is an electronic music duo based in Chicago. The pair create dark, powerful compositions from samples of field recordings and various pop culture and media references. Their music is textured, minimal and powerful, giving raw vulnerability an opportunity to unfold. It is a work full of sincerity that invites reflection without seeking to avoid confrontation. *Interior Terror*, HIDE’s third album, abandons traditional concepts of song structure in favor of fractured, impulsive, and feverish rhythms. Building on previously explored themes of autonomy and empowerment, *Interior Terror* questions the material and immaterial body in both a physical and metaphysical sense. Turning to our inner fears, HIDE gives voice to the power of destruction as a catalyst for hope, and to the collective experiences of those who came before us as a source of our own power. The raw, mantra-like prose produces a plaintive wail that soothes, mocks, questions, proclaims, and denounces. The result is minimal, spacious, and unsettling. The album was recorded with Seth Manchester at Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and mastered by Heba Kadry in New York.
