Headhunters

Description

In 1973, Herbie Hancock broke free from his collaboration with Miles Davis, but he kept the desire to open jazz up to other music. In his band of warriors, featuring the standout saxophonist Bernie Maupin, his keyboards are plugged into electricity and the watchword is to create a sound in tune with its time. A successful bet with this album, which is a manifesto of jazz funk through the iconic Watermelon Man, a personal standard more than ten years old that comes back to life, propelled by the magic of groove.
