Hen Yanni's debut EP is the story of a journey – the musical tale of a spatial and psychological voyage. Through it, the artist sheds her former nomadic life and her roles as a model, actress, and DJ to embrace that of a musician. She revisits the darkest moments of her life, opening up about the grief of losing her mother, the end of a passionate love affair, and more generally, the disappearance, tangible or not, of people, moments, and memories. Produced by electronic music composer Arnaud Rebotini, the Israeli artist's record transcends her folk, rock, dark, and new wave influences. It establishes her as a distinctive voice (evoking PJ Harvey, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Sharon Van Etten, and Joan As Police Woman alike) and undoubtedly serves as a prelude to a sensitive, sincere, and intimate body of work driven by lyrics and vocals.
