A revelation from an extraordinary actress and singer, Héloïse Wagner in a musical show. Kiki de Montparnasse is a show designed for the stage and devoted to one of the most famous figures of Montparnasse in the Roaring Twenties, 'Alice Ernestine Prin', known as Kiki, a muse who inspired so many painters from Soutine to Modigliani and who was Man Ray's mistress. The show tells the story of her adventures and misadventures since she arrived from her native Burgundy to come and dance on the tables of the Bar Dingo. A wild, extroverted and infinitely likeable personality, inseparable from that Montparnasse of the 1920s and 1930s that never ceases to fascinate, in France as well as abroad. It may even be one of the strongest images of France in the collective imagination. La Coupole, where Kiki spent so many nights, embodies Paris like Notre-Dame or the Eiffel Tower. Directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix ('Diva', '37°2 le matin', 'Mortel transfert'), this musical show lets us hear the magnificent performance of Héloïse Wagner, whose songs were written by Frank Thomas (lyricist for Claude François, Joe Dassin and Michel Polnareff) and composed by Reinhardt Wagner (whose song Loin de Paname for the film 'Faubourg 36' was nominated for the César for Best Original Music and the Oscar for Best Song in 2010).
