Originally scheduled for release on 09/01
Tenor saxophonist and Blue Note mainstay Hank Mobley was only two years into his fruitful 15-year association with the label when he recorded ‘Hank’ in 1957, a swinging sextet featuring Donald Byrd (trumpet), John Jenkins (alto sax), Bobby Timmons (piano), Wilbur Ware (bass) and Philly Joe Jones (drums). This Tone Poet edition is all-analog, stereo, mastered by K. Gray from the original tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl, and presented in a deluxe gatefold jacket.
