Four Classic Albums

Description

Henry "Hank" Mobley was an American hard bop saxophonist born on July 7, 1930, in Eastman, Georgia, and died on May 30, 1986, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He played the tenor saxophone in a style that lies between the aggression of John Coltrane and the smoothness of Stan Getz, characterized by a subtle and melodic approach. He accompanied Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Kenny Dorham, Lee Morgan, Jimmy Smith, Herbie Hancock, and Miles Davis. (Source: Wikipedia)
