Love In The Void - Vinyle Marbré Rouge Feu

Description

Breaking away from the strange monotony and abnormal norms that settled in during two years of pandemic life, Hammock returns with Love in the Void, an album that looks to the future, captures the present, and unapologetically savors the experiences and connections that give meaning to our days. Known for their orchestral works with moving cinematic atmospheres, the Nashville-based duo of Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson resonates with guitars and hearts through songs that shatter the stagnation of complacency. Since forming under the name Hammock in 2003, Byrd and Thompson have released 14 critically acclaimed albums and are renowned for bringing unexpressed emotions to life. Needing to break free from their frustrations, Love in the Void pulses with an unrestrained spirit of experimentation and a burning desire for connection. Throughout the songs, Byrd and Thompson embark on explosive crescendos drenched in reverb and dive into moments of silent introspection, with unflinching lyrics. The lush and dramatic string orchestration by Matt Kidd (Slow Meadow) and the emphatic drumming of Jake Finch enhance the duo's performance, while the ethereal voice of Christine Byrd (Lumenette) leaves mysteries hanging in the mist. Love in the Void is Hammock's strongest album to date, embracing boldness and vulnerability with palpable vitality, moving toward an unknown future without fear.
