After "Hip hop After All", the French producer presents his new collective project, "Eternal": he is the funky shadow of French hip hop. For 27 years, producer and beat-digger Guts has been taking care of our mental well-being with heavy doses of groovy, tropical beats, whether with Alliance Ethnik or through his "Beach Diggin'" compilations. After three instrumental albums made solo, this Parisian based in Ibiza headed to studios in New York and Los Angeles to record with hip hop legends like Masta Ace, Grand Puba (Brand Nubian), Murs, singers like Cody Chesnutt or Patrice, and young talents Leron Thomas, Lorine Chia, Dillon Cooper. The result of his adventures across the Atlantic? The album "Hip hop After All", released in autumn 2014, and a long tour with his live band. For his new album "Eternal", Guts has kept that collective spark alive by working with Florian Pellissier, Greg F., Leron Thomas, Kenny Ruby, Von Pea and Lorine Chia. Less programming and beatmaking, more live playing and instruments that sound alive; less pure and hard-hitting hip hop, more funk, afro, jazz and electro: that is what shapes the album, even if the first track unveiled, "All Nothing", is a pure old-school hip hop gem!
