Ghost Parades

Description

Originally from Sao Paulo, Guilherme has quietly built a reputation as a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to loop-based beats and groovy bass lines. He has played and recorded with Mauricio Takara in Hurtmold (4 albums) and is also part of Sao Paulo Underground (with Takara and Rob Mazurek). He also plays, produces and records under the name Bodes & Elefantes and has toured extensively in South America, the United States and Europe with São Paulo Underground, Prefuse 73 and others. With Ghost Parades, Guilherme digs deeper into his beat-based digressions while still managing to connect the dots between Wu-Tang Clan and Sun Ra Arkestra, adding a healthy dose of tropicalism for good measure. Guilherme's Ghost Parades does an impeccable job of showcasing the multi-instrumentalist's compositional talents, with dubby rhythms, addictive bass lines and celestial, hazy vocals. Organic and natural rhythms for atypical people.
