D-SEGNI is an introspective album, born from an artistic and human heritage: the book Segni by Madeleine Fischer, actress, patron, and founding figure of the group. Composed of nine pieces, the album explores the world of signs as a universal language, both ancient, symbolic, and deeply contemporary. Each composition functions as a fragment of memory, a space of resonance where instrumental improvisation, electro-acoustic textures, and musical narration intersect. The writing, open, allows for silence, suggestion, and interpretation, in a search for balance between strength and fragility. Produced by Guappecartò, Stefano Piro, and Seb Martel, and mixed by Laurent Dupuy (double Grammy Award winner), D-SEGNI takes on a pure and radical form, free from any pre-established scheme, marking a change of skin in the group's journey and opening up to new artistic territories. In twenty years, Guappecartò has released five albums, given over 1,600 concerts (Europe, Canada), and developed numerous collaborations with theater, cinema, and animation. The group has notably composed the film scores of director Alessandro Rak, including L'arte della felicità, Gatta Cenerentola (David di Donatello, Nastro d'Argento, Ciak d'Oro), and Rukeli. For the concert on January 30, 2026, at the Studio de l'Ermitage, the creation D-SEGNI will be brought to the stage by Marco Sica (Mala) on violin and instrumental textures, Pierluigi D'Amore (Braga) on double bass, bass, and synthesizers, Seb Martel on guitars and sound design, accompanied by the rhythmic drawings of Natale La Riccia, images by Alessandro Rak, and a sound setup ensured by Théo Vallée. An expanded formation to extend the musical, visual, and symbolic dimension of the project on stage.
