After five albums under his own name, Grégory Privat presents his upcoming album titled 'Yonn', which means 'One' in Creole. Indeed, this is the first time the Martinican pianist will offer a 'solo piano' record. For this recording of 11 tracks recorded entirely in Cologne, Grégory Privat offers intimate music rooted in Antillean culture, classical music, and Jazz. A contemplative journey that will blend the piano's notes with the musician's voice, as five pieces in the repertoire are sung. Composed entirely of original works, this album, conceived and created during the 2020 lockdown, will revolve around themes of meditation and self-reflection, like a heartfelt confidence full of light, comfort, and hope.
